Pop Goes the Easel is the 7th short subject starring American slapstick comedy team the Three Stooges. The trio made a total of 190 shorts for Columbia Pictures between 1934 and 1959.

Plot[]
The Stooges are out of work vagrants trying to get jobs by grabbing a broom and sweeping up. The store owner mistakes them for stealing and yells for the police. They get away by running into an art class. Once there, the boys are mistaken for new art students and proceed to wreck havoc Stooge style.

Moe's daughter Joan Howard Maurer and Larry's daughter Phyllis Fine appeared in a cameo together in this episode playing hopscotch.
This episode makes the first appearances of Blanche Payson, Ellinor Vanderveer, and Lew Davis with the Three Stooges.
